Year One: 2268: Episode 1
The Memory of War

* Obviously, the first major divergence between "our" B5 universe and the "DarkCrusade" universe is that the Earth was destroyed by the Death-Cloud (from "A Call to Arms"). The moment of separation between the two universes happened much earlier, though-- in 2261, to be exact-- as our story will reveal in days to come.

* The setting of this chapter of DarkCrusade is derived from the Crusade episode of the same name-- though I would argue I make better dual-use of its meaning, in that we are remembering not only the Technomage Genius Loci's war, but also the Drakh war against the Earth, and all that resulted from it.

* With no Drakh plague to cure, the Excalibur's mission, and Max's, are very different.

* Senator Jacob Redway appeared in the Crusade episode, "Each Night I Dream of Home."

* President Susanna Luchenko took over the presidency of the Earth Alliance after the suicide of Morgan William Clark (yes, the BG card game has his names backwards). She appeared in this role most notably in the B5 episode, "Rising Star." Here we are assuming her five-year term began then, and is now expiring, and she is running for re-election. That office having five-year terms was established on the original series as far back as the first episode, "Midnight on the Firing Line."

* Neroon was the Warrior caste's choice to become Ranger One (see "Grey 17 is Missing"--if you must), after Sinclair disappeared (becoming Valen and taking Babylon 4 back in time). Note that I say here that the Religious caste won the Minbari civil war of 2261. Without Delenn present to take the actions she did, with regard to the resolution of that conflict, such an outcome was quite likely; see especially "Lines of Communication" from season 4.

*  Dureena finding a sword is specifically mentioned in the Crusade "bible," as written by JMS.  He gives no details as to where or how or why or what it is.  I have supplied the "where" here.  The rest of the details will come "in the fullness of time," as Galen would say.
