Avengers Boxed Set
5" LineIt's a boxed set of the Avengers founders as they looked in Avengers #1 (1963): Hulk,
Iron Man, and Thor, Ant-Man & Wasp (both 2" high articulating figs that come with
flying ants to ride!), plus the original Giant-Man circa Avengers #2! Available July 1999.
[Man! Aren't these figs gorgeous?! Not even out yet and I can't wait for Avengers #16
boxed set!]

Avengers
Heroes Reborn 5" LineAvengers Heroes Reborn: Thor, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Loki
These figures are a little taller than standard ToyBiz Marvel, around 6" (which is OK
for Thor and Loki). Iron Man looks nothing like the current Iron Man in the Busiek/Perez
Avengers comic. Released in 1996, these may be getting hard to find.

Marvel Gold Exclusives
5" LineMarvel Gold Exclusives are figures with low mass-market demand. The result? Limited
production runs which are sold exclusively by one source. Many of the Marvel Gold
Exclusives are Avengers. It's not uncommon for the Marvel Gold Exclusives to sell from $14
to $20 each. Figures are listed from older to newer, and most should still be available.

Statues and BustsNot exactly action figures, but worth mentioning anyway. I'm sure you've seen Bowen
Designs' Statues and Busts in Wizard Magazine -- they're gorgeous -- made of cold
cast porcelain or bronze, and in very limited and numbered quantities.
Statues: Spiderman bronze, Hulk bronze, Captain America bronze, Thor bronze, DD

Porcelain Busts: Iron Man, Ant-Man, Thor, Hulk, Cyclops, Storm, Deadpool, Man-Thing

[If anyone's feeling particularly generous, I really like the Kirby-esque Cap bronze --
even if the color scheme on the stripes is off]
Note: there are also resin models available from various companies that you can build yourself, but they usually require painting to look like what's on the box. Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America and more are available -- search on the 'net or visit your local comic store.
